I had long planned this adventure, intending to embark on an expedition in a small group, driving off-road together in jeeps to explore the winter in the mountains of the Picos de Europa. The Picos de Europa are one of the most beautiful and unique places I know. There is still much rural charm, with remote villages and friendly locals eager to strike up a conversation, exchange words, and perhaps even share stories.

For those who love mountains, nature, and photography, the Picos de Europa are a true paradise. From the traditional houses to the remote villages, from the highest peaks to the breathtaking landscapes, from horses and cows grazing to birds soaring in the sky, everything provides a compelling reason to observe, feel, and, of course, capture through photography.

On this adventure, we will experience the cold, and hopefully, the snow of the mountains, contrasting it with the warmth of our hotels and restaurants that offer a variety of delicious typical meals, teas, coffees, and hot chocolates.

Over the course of 6 days, we will stay, explore, and experience the mountain range, discovering its lesser-visited corners, diverse landscapes, and local culture. While photography and travel will be discussed, the primary focus is to deeply feel and enjoy nature, an opportunity we seldom have, surrounded by like-minded individuals who share our interests.

On this expedition, we will spend ample time together, sharing the mountain, meals, stories, and life experiences. We will laugh and commiserate over leg pain after hiking, fostering an environment of interpersonal exchange that enriches and makes this experience truly unique.

The concept of conscious outdoor living is crucial during this activity. In addition to promoting good practices to minimize our impact on nature, we will directly address the topic by exchanging ideas and taking action.
